You, through MSC, can converse with a qualified Health & Safety Officer/Consultant, who will act as your legally required Competent Person, in turn providing expert practical advice to suit your organisation.

Competent Adviser

Every employer is required under law to appoint at least one Competent Health & Safety Person to assist them meet their legal health and safety obligations.

This is a requirement under the Management of Health & Safety Regulations 1999, and any employer who has not done so is deemed to be in breach of their statutory duty under Health and Safety Legislation and therefore becomes liable to criminal prosecution.

7.—(1) Every employer shall, subject to paragraphs (6) and (7), appoint one or more competent persons to assist him in undertaking the measures he needs to take to comply with the requirements and prohibitions imposed upon him by or under the relevant statutory provisions and by Part II of the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1997.

A cost-effective solution is by instructing the services of MSC Safety Consultants to assist, as and when required. without the costly expense of employing a full time more expensive Safety Advisor. MSC are then available at times when specific advice and assistance is required without committing to long term contract. It is to be noted that we do not require an auto renewal for your commitment to our services.
